Michael Witynski, President and CEO of Dollar Tree made the announcement that most items’ price was increasing to $1.25 back in November and it’s been the talk of the Internet ever since. The statement stated that the shift to $1.25 pricing will allow them to introduce new products and bring back previous products discontinued because of the $1 price constraint, however, people were less than happy and expressed their disdain in authentic fashion.
CNN reported that the outrage from loyal customers took place on TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
Dollar Tree said the price increase will be effective in all stores by the end of the first fiscal quarter of 2022.

Not only did the 99 Cents Only Store sell me flip flops for $1.99, but now the Dollar Tree is talking about “Oh, we’re gonna sell things for multiple dollars now.”
It’s just so scandalous.
If Dollar Tree not gonna be $1 anymore they might as well tear all that shit down fr
